The Royston Club are the Wrexham band tipped by Gigwise as “the new band from Wales most likely to do a Catfish”.

Despite only being active for two years, the young four-piece have already completed two UK headline tours totalling 30 dates, selling around 8,000 tickets in the process. Their early releases have been supported by BBC 6Music (Steve Lamacq, Chris Hawkins, Tom Robinson), Radio 1, Radio X (X-Posure playlist) and BBC Wales (BBC Wales A-List, Artist of the Week with Huw Stephens including three days of on-air interviews, and Janice Long live session), among others.

They've amassed over 10 million streams on Spotify alone, with monthly listeners consistently about 100,000, and their latest single was added to multiple editorial playlists including New Music Friday, All New Rock and Hot New Bands.

They were among the first acts to be announced for SXSW 2022 in Austin, Texas and spent the summer showcasing at festivals such as Leeds, Y Not and Neighbourhood.

The band will support The Academic on tour in February 2023 and will join Two Door Cinema Club at Castlefield Bowl in July. With a busy festival season planned, the band will then undertake a headline UK / EU tour in the Autumn.

The Royston Club are singer and guitarist Tom Faithfull, guitarist Ben Matthias, bassist Dave Tute and drummer Sam Jones.
