Northside played a huge part in Manchester’s early nineties soundtrack. Signed to Factory, the band were said to be the bridge between the Stone Roses and the Happy Mondays, and made their mark in the blooming ‘baggy’ scene.

Northside’s career sprung to life with the release of their first single “Shall We Take A Trip?’. The band’s 1991 second single, ‘Take 5’ reached the top five in the Billboard alternative songs chart and it also saw them appear on Top of the Pops that June.

“The music matched the threads and that lazyitis wonk groove which was a nod to dance floors and raves was infused by smoking dope and dancing to the city’s moving pulsebeat.” - John Robb

London Records have pressed some limited edition 12” white labels featuring fresh 2025 cuts from Veteran remixers The Reflex & Leo Zero, giving their signature takes on these Madchester dance floor fillers.
