Northside played a huge part in Manchester’s early nineties soundtrack. Signed to Factory, the band were said to be the bridge between the Stone Roses and the Happy Mondays, and made their mark in the blooming ‘baggy’ scene.

Northside’s career sprung to life with the release of their first single “Shall We Take A Trip’. The band’s 1991 third single, ‘Take 5’ reached the top five in the Billboard alternative songs chart and it also saw them appear on Top of the Pops that June.

Produced by The Lightning Seeds’ Ian Broudie (Echo & The Bunnymen, Shack, The Coral, Texas), their album released in 1991 and peaked at number 19 in the charts.

This 2025 re-issue features vinyl cut from the original Factory Records masters, solid green vinyl & restored artwork by Central Station Design.
