The follow-up to 2024's acclaimed 'I'm totally fine with it 👍 don't give a fuck anymore 👍' , 'Half-Told Tales' is rich with Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton’s trademark wit and dark humour, whilst creating moments from quiet brooding to a self-described “disco-metal incantation that might make you dance” . Including the single 'You You You', the album was recorded with long-time collaborator Paul Savage (Mogwai, Belle and Sebastian, Franz Ferdinand).
