To mark National Album Day in 2025 Universal Music Recordings are reissuing T'Pau's 1987 debut album Bridge Of Spies on LP for the first time, on limited edition red vinyl. Originally released in September 1987, Bridge Of Spies was the Shropshire group's debut album, peaking at No. 1 that November, spending 44 weeks on the album chart, and eventually achieving 4 x Platinum sales status, selling more than 1.4 million copies in the UK alone. It includes the singles 'Heart And Soul' (No. 4, and No. 4 in the US), 'Valentine' (No. 9), 'I Will Be With You' (No. 14), and the original version ofthe chart-topping, and timeless power ballad 'China In Your Hand', a UK No. 1 for five consecutive weeks. Taking their name from a character in the TV sc-fi serues Star Trek, T'Pau were singer and songwriter Carol Decker, guitarist and songwriter Ronnie Rogers, drummer Tim Burgess, keyboard player Michael Chetwood, and second guitarist Taj Wyzgowski. The band have since recorded another four studio albums, and continue to perform to this day.
