Well, what a year it's been. We would never have thought back in March that by July we would have opened an actual record shop, something that's been a dream of ours for years.
 
We can't begin to thank everyone who's supported us, whether that's buying a record, coming in to the shop and telling us about your collections and favourite bands, bringing in your second hand records or just generally welcoming us in to the community. Special mention has to go to Miss Marmalades who had enough faith in us to give us their upstairs space for our first series of pop ups, we can't tell you how much we appreciate it (you should also check out their fantastic cakes and milkshakes by the way). Nantwich is an amazing place to open an independent business and we genuinely wouldn't be here if it wasn't for all our customers and friends.
 
As a little thank you, we've put together this little book of this year's best music (or we think so anyway). Hopefully there are some things in here you've not yet discovered. We'd love to hear your recommendations too, if there's anything you've loved this year that you think we should stock, just give us a shout at shop@applestumprecords.com.
 
We already know 2022 is going to be a great year with new releases already announced from Bonobo, Eels and Black Country New Road to name a few. Even more exciting is the news that Record Store Day will be coming to Nantwich on 23rd April, get it in your diaries!
