We're thrilled to welcome Liz Overs to our shop, where she'll perform songs from her new album, Nightjar.
Nightjar... featuring air from Liz Overs, earth from Neill MacColl, Ben Nicholls, and David Tomlins, fire from The Binnie Sisters, and salt water from the Sussex coast.
Nightjar is the first solo album by musician and folklore enthusiast Liz Overs. Previously signed with Atlantic Records, she achieved a number one club hit in the US. Since then, she has written and performed for Chalk Horse Music and hosted a radio show exploring the music, folklore, and social history of Sussex.
In 2023, Overs' haunting, unaccompanied rendition of The Birds in the Spring was the sole song featured in Dylan Howitt's award-winning documentary The Nettle Dress, and Liz performed live at major screenings across the UK.
