Eve Buckley

Leeds based singer, songwriter, and guitarist Eve Buckley combines a rich hybrid of alternative-soul and jazz infused

pop in her work. Capturing the tapestry of notions that arise as a woman navigating young adulthood, her timeless

vocals and sentimental soundscapes echo influences such as Lianne La Havas, Jordan Rakei and Yazmin Lacey.

Honing her craft in open mics in her hometown Stoke-on-Trent, Eve met producer Alex Williams at University in

Leeds, sparking a unique collaboration that paired elegant writing with a lush recorded sound. Her debut EP, ‘Some

Kind of Solace’, preceded by the singles ‘Big Shot’, ‘Peace of Mind’, and ‘Tongue Tied’, independently released in

February last year. It has since received nearly half a million streams to date, as well as support from Spotify with

numerous singles landing on the New Music Friday UK, Jazz UK, Fresh Finds UK & IE, and Sweet Soul Sunday

playlists. Gaining support from BBC Introducing, Jazz FM, and Global Soul Radio, the EP was also highly acclaimed

by Fresh On The Net, Dead Good Music, Overblown Magazine, and landed her the award for ‘Best Solo Act’ at the

Staffordshire & Cheshire Music Awards 2026.

Pursuing a live-first agenda, Eve’s all-consuming storytelling and distinctive voice have captivated audiences across

Leeds and the UK. She has supported the likes of Rosie Frater Taylor, Jamilah Barry, and KEZA, and landed slots at

Live at Leeds In the City and London Jazz Festival. Last year, she completed a sold out debut EP launch tour around

the UK, and has just released an EP of solo versions to celebrate 1 year of her EP which exposed Eve’s ‘lovely

voice’, acclaimed by Jamie Cullum on his BBC Radio 2 Jazz Show. Having released an extended version of her EP

on vinyl this month and debuted at Cheltenham Jazz Festival, she is set to debut at a string of festivals this Summer

as well as celebrate the vinyl release with intimate record store shows.
